This month’s member spotlight features another member of the Diliberto family: this time it’s Clancy Diliberto. Clancy and her husband, Bob, have been members at Diamondback for several years now. Originally hailing from upstate New York, they currently split time between there and the Myrtle Beach area and spend six to seven months a year along the Grand Strand. When asked where they play their golf while they stay here, both responded without hesitation:
“Diamondback!”
“The experience here at Diamondback has been fabulous,” said Clancy when asked about Diamondback. “I play with a mixed group here on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I play with the women’s group on Wednesdays.” She added that she has never played with a more supportive group than the women’s group, noting that “they support each other and have a great time.” When asked what she enjoys most about the group, she added, “they are just out there to have fun. They play a different game every week, which helps keep it fresh.”
Clancy laughed when asked about how her game fits Diamondback. “This course has been very kind to me in the past few weeks, let me say that,” she quipped. Clancy added that the course is always in good shape when she plays it, and that the grounds crew does an amazing job when it comes to keeping the golf course in peak condition. “All the beautification they have done to the golf course is really impressive,” she noted.
Clancy added, “As a member, the club is inviting. The people are friendly, and Patrick and Sherri are so welcoming.” When asked what she would tell someone who is thinking about becoming a member at Diamondback, she noted that Diamondback Golf Club is open to anyone and everyone.
If you’re looking for a golf course that you can truly call home, there’s no better time than now to heed Clancy’s advice. We hope to see you at Diamondback soon!
