Over the past few years our memberships have become popular with the Myrtle Beach golfing community. David McFadden moved here from Charlotte and decided to call Diamondback Golf Club his “golfing home” for the future. After a long career with Pitney Bowes in Charlotte, David moved here and was looking for a club to join.
“Well, first off, the price was right,” says David. “That was our first consideration.”
With our two membership options, there’s a price that will fit anyone’s budget. David notes, “We’re members at Shaftesbury Glen, but we have to pay a cart fee every time we go. We found Diamondback to be more economical.” When you become a member at Diamondback, you do not have to pay any additional fees to play golf (You still have to pay for the beer, though!).
Says David, “Once we started playing here, we found the people to be super friendly and welcoming.” When you join Diamondback Golf Club, you’re family. Our staff and members do a great job of welcoming all newcomers to this lovely golf course. David especially likes that “They have groups that play three times a week, and it’s just a fun place to be.”
Indeed, we do have multiple groups that are always welcoming new people, and David ultimately joined our Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday Sutton group. This group is full of golfers of every skill level and is always welcoming new men and women to it.
When asked about his favorite hole here at Diamondback Golf Club, David points to No. 6. “It’s a short hole with a native area short of the green,” he says. “It makes for quite the challenge. The golf course is in great shape year-round, and the people here are wonderful!”
We’re delighted to have the McFadden family as a part of our own family. Learn more about our membership options here!
