Seeing a golf course for the first time can be a little intimidating. For most of you, you have played Diamondback a handful of times. For those of you who have not played Diamondback, we have three shots that you must have in your bag when you tee it up here.
- The high, soft bunker shot. Now, we know what you are thinking, “Of course you need a high soft bunker shot to play golf!” When you find a greenside bunker at Diamondback you really need this shot in your bag. If you miss in one of these bunkers, you will need to loft that next shot in order for it to hold. The hole where you especially need this shot on is the par-3 12th. Finding the bunker long will leave you looking at the railroad tie bunker face in front of you. If you end up there, make sure you hit that shot high.
- A high cut. While we have some shots that require you to hit the ball from right to left, most of our shots require you to hit that left-to-right cut shot. From tee shots to approaches a cut will you give you the best chance to go low here. A perfect example of a hole requiring a cut is the par-4 5th. This fairway gradually weaves to the right which will require you bend it with the shape of the hole.
- Great lag putts. Our greens here are large and can leave you some putts of 40 to 50 feet. Being able to get each long putt within five feet of the pin will save you multiple shots during your round at Diamondback. Avoiding three-putts at Diamondback is the key to success.
Take these three shots into your round at Diamondback and you are guaranteed to have a good time. Book your next tee time at Diamondback here!
