In this video, Diamondback General Manager Patrick Wilkinson and his daughter, Rachel, show you how to play this short-range par 3 – and introduce you to an element here that pays homage to our country and its service men and women.
Welcome to Diamondback Golf Course today. My name is Patrick Wilkinson, I’m the general manager. Today, we’re going to show you how to play Hole Number 12. It’s a par 3, 125 yards from the white tees, 144 from the back, to our green, it’s got a little bit of water to the right, bunkers long into the right, and I think it’s a very good hole, unique hole and we’ll explain a little later why this is such a unique par 3.
As you can see, my daughter Rachel has hit a nine iron up here to about 15 feet from the flag. But what I really want you to focus on is the flag behind me. That’s the United States flag. This is our hole where we honor all the first responders, all the servicemen, past and present, and give our thanks to this great country we live in.
So we have that, and also we have our own personalized flag holder so when you go to make the putt, you take the flag and instead of laying on the ground, you put it in the holder. And Rachel now will come up and show you how you make the putt from about 15 feet.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s lesson on how to get around this hole at Diamondback Golf Course. For more information, please contact us at 843-756-3264, or on the website at playdiamonbackgolf.com. We’re open year-round and we’d love to have you. And when you come in, tell us you saw us on the video and we’ll help you out a little bit – give you a few more pointers on the remaining holes at Diamondback. Look forward to seeing you soon!
